Milos Restaurant: Sigacik Fish & Meze
We have visited Milos Balik Restaurant in the historic center of Sigacik (Seferihisar) the historic center is also known as “Kaleici” which means inside the Castle. The narrow streets of center is very authentic and a must to visit especially on Sundays when they set-up a fully natural Bazaar which not only offer standard fruits and vegetables but also a lot of delicacies to taste. We strongly recommend you to visit the historic center of Sigacik if you are around.
Milos Resturant offers a great tasty palette of Mezes (Appetizers) we have tried a couple of them, Whiting with Basil, Smoked Kipper Mackerel, Roman Style Mash, Salicornia(Deniz Börülcesi), Cretan Mash all of them were delicious. Most probably this place can be recommended for their mezes as the fish is not offered in a stall (tezgah, which is the usual way in Turkish Fish Restaurants where you can select your fish from a (generally) wide range of options from small to big fishes) but you can select them from the menu.
We have tried Sole Fish Stew which was absolutely delicious, however the small selection of fish options are little bit disappointing. Overall, Eatinizmir recommend Milos Balik Restaurant as a great location for a cosy evening with friends, to try some delicious mezes and drink some raki. The prices are reasonable as you may expect to pay between 60-100 TL per person including alcoholic drinks.
